The John Lewis Student Leadership Pathways equips student leaders with the skills they need to make meaningful changes within their communities. Each student will have the opportunity to choose how they engage with the pathways. Students will have programmatic options to participate in high-impact workshops, keynote speakers, service-learning projects, reflection discussions, lunch-and-learn training, and more. With an emphasis on self-design, leaders will have the opportunity to customize their pathway experience by engaging in a collection of multifaceted high-impact programs.

Bringing cocurricular learning into focus, the Aspen Index serves as an effective vehicle for measuring quality educational programs for Georgia Tech students. The John Lewis Student Leadership Pathways allows current and aspiring student leaders to steadily increase awareness of their capacities to make an impact in their communities. Pathway programs allow exploration of students’ own perceptions of leadership, encourage participation in collegiate service experiences, and provide spaces for students to examine leadership as a process, not a position. Students can capitalize on their leadership potential and build greater self-awareness.

“You are a light. You are the light. Never let anyone—any person or any force—dampen, dim or diminish your light … Release the need to hate, to harbor division, and the enticement of revenge. Release all bitterness. Hold only love, only peace in your heart, knowing that the battle of good to overcome evil is already won.”
